Patrick IJnsen keynote speaker at Foundation Decarbonization and Re-use conference

DFI Europe and KIVI Geotechniek have invited four distinguished experts to give a keynote presentation at the conference on Foundation Decarbonization and Re-use, which will take place on March 21-23 in Amsterdam. Today we would like to highlight keynote speaker Patrick IJnsen, Member of DFI Sustainability Committee and the NVAF Sustainability Working Group.

At the conference we will look at all the options for foundation decarbonization and re-use to provide a complete overview of this approach during all project phases. The presentation of IJnsen will focus on the decarbonization of structures and projects in practice, which includes recycling, reduction, substitution and the energy transition.

Career
Patrick IJnsen is a geotechnical engineer with over 21 years of experience in deep foundation piling and sheet pile application, design, testing and monitoring. He is a member of the executive board of Van ‘t Hek Groep in The Netherlands and a board member of DFI Europe. Furthermore, IJnsen remains a member of multiple CEN working and task groups for Eurocode revisions. He is also vice chairman of the Royal Netherlands Society of Engineer’s board for its geoscience department.
